So over Christmas and New Years this blog has been on hiatus due to the busy season taking priority in life. Well, that and the fact I spent approximately a month straight in transit coming up and down this mountain travelling back and forth from Vancouver. (Seriously, Greyhound needs to give me a gold membership for all the miles I have paid them for!) Now there is only white noise. Whistler is quiet this morning as we reach so far this winters lowest temp of -19 in the village, and -29 on the hill with the wind chill factor. And it’s not only here – Vancouver, Victoria and the surrounding regions are all getting pounded with snow and icy winds. It’s funny, you get excited when you first see a covering of snowflakes falling out as far as Maple Ridge and Abbortsford, but then you quickly get over it when it actually stops you from travelling, on the roads and in the air, and more importantly when it stops me from snowboarding this morning!
I looked out the window and thought – f**k that!
