The Bachelorette. You can’t physically watch channel 10’s newest conception without either exclaiming atrocities out loud to yourself, your friends, or to your poor boyfriend sitting next to you, being forced to watch Sam’s quest for love.
The show is slightly ridiculous. Yes. But we all still watch it anyway. It’s prime time entertainment and daggy Sam makes it that little bit more relatable for us chicks. Last night, I realised the funniest thing about this show is that girls watch it all together (even while apart) and out loud. I myself sat there in giggles, texting three of my girlfriends throughout the entire show. And that’s the best part. Seriously.
“Sasha’s such a MAN”
“Awww but Michaels parents though!”
“What’s with Sams hair extensions?”
“Alex is out. Cya.”
I’m sure by this stage bets are well and truly on for which lad is going to win Sam’s heart. It will be interesting as always to see if this romantic experiment lasts outside the Bachelor pad walls. Big man Sasha looks like the steady favourite and we all knew Alex the English gent was the next to get the boot. He’s too proper for the dorky-but-loveable Sam and a tad on the serious side.
My predication? Michael and Sasha will be the last two standing with Sash taking it out. Richie, you’re adorable but a bit all over the place mate. All jitters and jokes. Just calm down. And restrain that scary mother of yours.
Either way, enough with the “poor Sam are you over what you went through last year?” questions channel 10. Number one; clearly she is. Wouldn’t be on the new show if she wasn’t. Number two; it was more embarrassment than actual heartbreak. National humiliation for sure, but who actually liked Blake?
Pretty sure she came out on top in that situation. Number three; She’s now had 14 men hand picked for her, (seemingly) ready to commit, to choose from, along with endless endorsement deals so she doesn’t have to get a “real” job like the rest of us. Yeah she's fine.
