 Sustainable tourism is a buzz phrase that’s never been more closely followed until now. A global pandemic has stopped our carbon footprint right in their tracks 👣

 We need to give more back to our global environment before trotting all over it again, and when we do, it needs to be done in a different way.

 The concept of micro-tourism, supporting local communities and less visited regional areas is something to be mindful of once more borders open up. This also applies internationally.

 For example, I was lucky enough to be looked after by a lovely Havana local the entire time I was traveling across Cuba (see earlier posts) where I did a digital detox and entrusted her with my funds instead of a major operator. Her local expertise allowed me an amazingly genuine experience (and trip of a lifetime!)
